Yoga isn't about fancy postures or touching your toes, its about creating an awareness of your mind and your body and how they connect to one another, Its about finding yourself and your true potential that has always existed in you.

If you're really ravenous like me, all the time, and if you think you might get hangry in class, then grab a banana, some nuts, or a small protein smoothie. It’s often said not to eat before yoga, but its like anything, you wouldn’t run straight after a hamburger, but I always find practice better if I have a snack before hand.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to bend and stretch and don't restrict your movement. Tights, and more fitted tops/ tracks and lose t-shirt. Most of all wear what makes you feel good.

11. I have an injury? I am Pregnant? I have limited mobility ?
Please make sure you have cleared your practice of Yoga with your specialist or GP. If you’re familiar with yoga/and have practiced pre injury or pregnancy then you’ll be confident to modify and can always speak to me pre class or email to chat further.
Its good to remember that I although I Have studied in depth anatomy from various teachers including pysios and PT’s I am not here to diagnose or treat and ONLY YOU can know what feels good and what doesn’t in classs.
I offer GENERAL YOGA classes, and a, not able to sequence for EVERY person in the room, but do my best to offer MANY different modifications to account for this. Its important to remember that YOU are responsible for YOUR body in class. Self awareness is a BIG part of yoga.
If its something more Chronic then a Private Yoga session might be a better fit. Its always nice to email the teacher prior to class, especially if you do have limitations that have affected your moments before. This gives the teacher prior warning to ensure class plan will be modified for you also.
12. Can I leave class early?
Yes. of course you ca. If you need to leave just spend a few quiet moments with your breath and then pack up quietly. Sometimes Savasana is too much and sometimes you need to practice it on your belly, side or lying against a wall.
For those that are one call, you are able to leave your mobile phone next to your mat ON SILENT.

STUDIO Guidelines
Here are the Guidelines we ask that you follow in order to maintain this shared space for all.
Please arrive at least 10 mins prior to class. If you're new and its your first time, arrive a little earlier to chat with the teacher.
Parking: Please be respectful that this is a private residence, and PARK ONLY On the STREET.
Classes start ON TIME and the door will be locked at class start time , for safety Reasons. If you’re late, quietly wait at door and I will let you in.
On arrival please leave your shoes at the door and enter quietly.
Let the teacher know any injuries or issues that they may need to be aware of, and especially, if its you're first time to yoga, have a chat to your teacher.
Your belongings can be stored in the entrance room. This keeps the practice space free of clutter.
Set your mat down and collect your props (look to the teachers mat for those that are required or get any that you know you usually use)
Feel free to catch up with friends but please do so with a whisper ~ leave those larger and louder chats for outside the studio or over Chai outside.
Mobile phones need to be switched off during class. If you're a medical or emergency professional and are required to have your phone on, please leave on silent and place at Top right of your mat so the teacher is aware of this.
Your body is YOUR responsibility. Yoga is YOUR medicine ~ Trust and Listen to Your Body- treat your body with respect and compassion and remember that just because the teacher asks something of you, doesn't mean you need to complete. it. If it doesn't feel right for your body, don't do it. ITs THAT simple. Rest in any position that feels comfy for you.
No pain no Gain does not exist in the Yoga practice ~ if you feel pain, please come out slowly from the posture. Your Teacher is always watching and will come over to assist as required.
You're welcome to bring you're water bottle in, but please no food, snacks or drinks other than water.
